Jay Sonnhalter is much more than a color analyst… he also is a versatile Sideline Reporter, Studio Analyst / Anchor and he’s an Actor (playing a football player, of course) / Stunt Double too!
From 2014 through 2017, Jay worked with Time Warner Cable Sports Channel and Spectrum Sports serving as an Analyst on “High School Blitz” a 30-minute weekly show previewing the Top High School Football matchups throughout North Carolina. He was the host of “Conversations” a 30-minute interview-style show with athletes and coaches including Danny Manning and Carla Overbook and a Sideline Reporter for “Kicking it with Cam” — conducted interviews with Cam Newton and other athletes during a charity benefit celebrity kickball game.
Since 2011, Jay has worked closely with the Campbell University Football program conducting a Pregame and Postgame show for football telecasts. And then, of course, there’s Jay’s work with his alma mater, East Carolina University where, since 2009, Jay has been the Studio Analyst for Live two-hour Bud Light® Pirate Post-Game Show following each ECU football game on WIBX Channel 7 and assisted in the development and writing of show scripts and commentary for pre-game/post-game shows.

Not one to let his skills on the gridiron go to waste, Jay has played a football player and/or a stunt double in numerous movies and television programs since 2011.
