Jay Sonnhalter is a Football Color Analyst for ESPN3 and the SECN+ covering American Athletic Conference (AAC), Mid-American Conference (MAC), Conference USA (CUSA), Southern Conference (SoCon) and the Big South Conference games. Additionally, Jay covers Big South Conference games for 7 Communications and works as the Color Analyst for Football High School State Championship Broadcasts with Sinclair Broadcast Group. For Stadium, Jay is also a Football Color Analyst for Big South Games and broadcasts on regional sports networks and statewide throughout North Carolina.
And Jay doesn’t just know football, Jay LOVES football. As a former D1 player for East Carolina University, Jay received numerous awards including All-Conference Honorable Mention, “Blackbeard’s Challenge” which is awarded to the winner of the ECU Strength and Conditioning Strongman Competition, Honor Roll Student Athlete and more!
